We spent 5 years developing, producing, shooting, and editing the remarkable story of Lhakpa Sherpa, the first Nepali woman to climb Mount Everest and survive. 78 shoot days, 35,807 feet of elevation gain, 3 helicopter flights, 211 hand warmer packs, 49 oxygen cylinders, and the helpful advice of 1 yak driver later… it's a thrill to share Lhakpa's remarkable story with the world.
This project had countless challenges to overcome, but they all paled in comparison to the trials that Lhakpa has faced throughout her life. Whenever we needed inspiration to keep pushing, we only needed to channel her indomitable spirit to see our way forward. We hope her story will inspire others to persevere through whatever challenges life throws at them.
