Way back in Spring, Levis approached our friend Keenan Newman to direct their Holiday Lookbook film— Keenan partnered with us to bring this beautiful little film to life. We love any production that takes us into the great outdoors and this was possibly the best adventure we've had yet on a commercial production. The shoot took place in the Eastern Sierras surrounding the town of Mammoth Lakes, CA. After an extensive location scout and lengthy permitting process, we were on our way to a five-day shoot, which would cover seven locations and eight of Levis holiday looks.
This isn't your typical lookbook... it is a largely conceptual story of two people seeking something (unknown to them at the time) with only an ominous orb as their guide. They trek through mountains, snow fields, waterfalls, and deserted towns, all while rocking Levis attire. We also filmed portraits of each outfit that can be shopped at anytime; if you click on an item they are wearing, the film will pause and a pop-up of the item will be presented for your shopping pleasure. Just as seamlessly, you can click PLAY and the film starts right where you left off!
