What a whirlwind the last couple weeks have been in the A Film About Coffee world! There's an immense amount of pride that is felt when a long project comes to an end— especially when it's shown in your hometown, in front of 1,400 of your closest friends and mutual coffee lovers! The film premiered on June 3rd at the Castro Theater and what a night it was... we are still buzzing from the shocking turnout and overhwelming support. Below are are some photos of that night, with a few from our Portland and Seattle premieres, as well.
Thank you so much to everyone who has made these screenings such a blast so far— we can't wait to do more! This is a completely self-funded project and we're tackling the beastly self-distribution model, so we need people like you to spread the word and help the film reach its maximum audience! The film will be available for purchase in the next few months, but right now we are taking this thing on tour!
If you want to put on a screening in your own town, email screenings@avocadosandcoconuts.com. Again, thank you to Marmoset Music, Stumptown Coffee, Blue Bottle Coffee, Ritual Roasters, Four Barrel, and all of you who came out to watch the film!
